Vinesh Phogat created history yesterday by qualifying for finals of 50Kg Womens Wrestling event, but she won’t be able to compete,as she was over weight for the category by 100 gms during the weigh in of the player.

This will be a huge loss for India and the athlete, as there is no option to appeal for any revisions as the time limit for the event is already over. She will be disqualified and the silver medal will be cancelled for the event.

Update– Cuba’s Guzman Lopez who was defeated in semi final by the Indian will take on USA’s Sarah Hildebrandt in the finals.
