It is confirmed that Hyderabad FC will not take part in this year’s Durand cup. The team with so many financial problems and transfer bans from FIFA is struggling to create a team from what it has got and as per the reports they can’t make 18 member squad as required by the competition, which has already started.
Their opening match is set to be against Goa on Monday, August 5, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong. The other teams in Group F are FC Goa, Shillong Lajong FC, and Tribhuvan Army FC.
It is reported that the organisers already found a replacement as Rangdajied United FC from Shillong are confirmed to take part in the competition. There were also reports of Dempo SC was also consulted , but did not work out.
